Celebrating Success
Len’s Success Story
Len Cokeley arrived at Reeds Cove Health & Rehab on February 26, 2026, following a below-the-knee amputation of his left leg. As a result, he faced the challenge of healing, rebuilding strength, and preparing for life with a new prosthesis. During his short-term stay, Len worked closely with our skilled nursing and therapy teams while his surgical wound healed and he awaited his prosthetic fitting.
Throughout his recovery, Len participated in Medicare Part B therapy services focused on maintaining his strength, mobility, and independence. His dedication, combined with the encouragement and support of our staff, helped prepare him for the next phase of rehabilitation once his prosthesis arrived.
On April 23, 2026, Len received his prosthesis and immediately resumed skilled therapy services to continue building confidence and mobility. Through determination and hard work, he achieved his goal of returning home and was successfully discharged on May 11, 2026.
Len shared this about his experience:
“I am very grateful for the therapy and nursing services I’ve been receiving while waiting for my new prosthesis. The staff has been supportive, encouraging, and attentive to my needs throughout this process. Their care has helped me stay strong, maintain my independence, and keep progressing toward my goal of getting back on my feet. I truly appreciate their dedication and the positive difference they have made in my recovery.”
We are proud to have been part of Len’s recovery journey and celebrate his determination, progress, and successful return home.
Carol’s Success Story
Carol came to Reeds Cove after back to back hospitalizations. This had a debilitating impact on her ability to perform tasks like walking with her walker, getting dressed, or even feeding herself. Carol sought to regain her strength and endurance so she could return home.
With the help of the Reeds Cove Rehab team, Carol far exceeded her initial goals. Today, she’s fully independent with all of her daily living skills. She has also returned to recreational activities she enjoyed before her hospitalizations, She is excited to return home with her husband.
“I had a great experience, staff were friendly and helpful, therapy worked me hard! -Carol
